OTA PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT

Build an online travel agency around your business model.

An OTA platform brings customer journeys and travel supplier connections together. TAAPP helps travel agencies define and develop the online experience their business is ready to operate.

Discuss OTA platforms

Define what your platform will sell

Begin with the products and customers you intend to serve. A consumer booking journey, an agent sales portal and a corporate travel workflow have different account, pricing and approval requirements. Decide which travel products belong in the first release, which suppliers provide them, and how your team will handle exceptions. This prevents the customer interface from being designed around inventory or capabilities that are not available.

Map the entire booking lifecycle

Search is only one part of a usable booking platform. The project needs to define how a selected offer is checked, what customer information is collected, when payment is taken and how confirmation is produced. Changes, cancellations, refunds and supplier failures also need an agreed process. Some steps may stay with your operations team, depending on supplier capabilities and the commercial model.

Treat supplier access as a project dependency

API documentation, test credentials and production permissions affect what can be built and when it can launch. A successful test does not by itself establish production access or a ticketing arrangement. We review the available interfaces with you, separate software work from supplier responsibilities and plan the launch around those dependencies. Administration, monitoring and operational handover should be part of the scope from the beginning.

What to bring to the conversation

Share your target customers, travel products, supplier agreements, available API documentation and expected booking process. Include your payment provider and the team responsible for servicing bookings.

What shapes cost and timing?

Scope depends on the number of products and suppliers, account types, booking rules, payment requirements and post-booking workflows. A focused first release can establish the operating model before additional products are added.

Questions about OTA platforms

Is an OTA platform different from a travel website?

Yes. A general website presents services and collects inquiries. An OTA platform adds a defined online sales or booking process and usually requires supplier, payment and operational connections.

Does development include supplier inventory?

Software development does not automatically include inventory rights, supplier contracts or live credentials. Those arrangements must be confirmed with the relevant providers.

Can we start with one product or supplier?

A smaller initial scope can be practical. We can discuss a first release around the most important customer journey, then plan later phases once its requirements and dependencies are understood.
